Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Related collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Related is operated by Master Software and Advertising LLC (Reg. No. 2219750), registered at Shams Business Center, Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and any profile information you choose to add.
• Payment information: processed directly by one or more licensed third-party payment processors. Related does not store your full card number.
• Identity verification (KYC) information: if you receive payouts as a creator, a licensed third-party KYC provider collects and verifies your identity on our behalf.
• Messages: the content of conversations sent through Related, stored to operate the inbox and enforce these policies.
• Usage information: basic technical data such as device, browser, and how you interact with the platform.

3. How We Use Information

We use this information to operate the messaging and subscription service, process payments and payouts, verify creator identity, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Anonymous Messaging

Choosing to message anonymously hides your name and profile from the creator you subscribe to — it does not mean Related has no record of who you are. We retain the account and payment information you provided at registration internally, even for anonymous subscribers, so that we can respond to safety concerns, fraud, or legal requests. This information is never shown to the creator unless you choose to reveal it.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only with:

• Our payment processor and KYC provider, to the extent necessary to process payments and verify identity;
• Law enforcement or regulators, when required by law or to protect the safety of our users;
• Service providers who help us operate the platform, under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, and for 12 months after your account is deleted, to allow for fraud prevention, legal compliance, and the resolution of any outstanding disputes.

7. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can request to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information by contacting support@related.im. Depending on your location (for example, the EU or California), you may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to object to certain processing or to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

8. Cookies and Analytics

Related uses cookies and similar technologies (including local storage and mobile SDKs) for two distinct purposes: making the platform work, and helping us understand how it's used so we can improve it.

Essential cookies.

These keep you logged in, remember your session, and support basic security. They are required for Related to function and do not require separate consent.

Analytics cookies and SDKs.

We use analytics tools to understand usage patterns — which features get used, where people run into friction, and how the app performs — so we can fix problems and build a better product. We currently use:

• Google Analytics (Google LLC)
• Amplitude (Amplitude, Inc.)

and may add, remove, or replace analytics providers over time as our tooling evolves.

These tools may collect information such as device and browser type, screens or pages viewed, actions taken within the app, approximate location derived from IP address, and timestamps. They do not have access to the content of your private messages — analytics tracking is limited to product usage behavior, not conversation content.

Your consent.

Where required by law (for example, for users in the EU/UK), non-essential analytics cookies are only activated after you consent via a cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by adjusting your browser's cookie settings, or by contacting us at support@related.im. Declining analytics cookies does not limit your ability to use Related — it only limits our ability to measure how it's being used.

Managing cookies yourself.

You can also control cookies directly through your browser settings. On mobile, you can limit tracking through your device's privacy controls — for example, App Tracking Transparency on iOS or ad personalization settings on Android. Where legally required, we honor recognized opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC).

How third-party analytics providers handle your data.

Google Analytics and Amplitude process usage data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and, where applicable, a data processing agreement with us. We have enabled Google Analytics' advertising features (including Google Signals), which allows Google to associate your activity on Related with your Google account across your devices and to use this information, together with data from other sites and apps, for its own purposes, including ad personalization and measurement. You can turn this off at any time through Google's Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com), or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

California users.

Because Google Analytics' advertising features are enabled, this may be considered "sharing" of your personal information under the CCPA/CPRA. You can opt out at any time through Google's Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com), the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by contacting us at support@related.im.

9. Children's Privacy

Related is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will delete the associated information.

10. International Data Transfers

Because Related is operated from the United Arab Emirates, your information may be processed outside your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect.
